About Chris Garabedian
Chris Garabedian started the tailoring trade thirty years ago under the apprenticeship of his father, master tailor Charles Garabedian. Having studied under two other masters as well, Chris began to develop his own understanding of clothing construction, alteration and design.
The business in Troy was started by his dad in 1957. When Charles retired, Chris opened a store in Clifton Park as well as specializing in fine men's and women's ready made clothing and custom clothing, including suits, shirts and slacks.
In 2004 the call came to head the tailoring department at Spector's Clothing Store in Albany. Spector's was an old established business, selling high-end men's clothing. Spector's was a good experience but Chris always wanted to do what he is now doing; working with people to help them look their best.
"I love working with people one-on-one and giving them value and service. I think people appreciate that."
